Went to Taha last night and loved the atmosphere and food! Taha has a parking garage below them that they validate parking so very convenient in the Plaza area. Since we went on a Saturday night and didn't have a reservation (our bad!) we waited for about an hour but had a cozy waiting area by the bar while we waited for our table to be ready. Once we were seated, they had a great cocktail menu and the perfect spicy marg with their habanero infused tequila. Our server was also very attentive in keeping our chip basket full. For an appetizer, we got queso with chorizo in it which our server recommended. All of our main dishes were all delicious but I do think the standard Mexican dishes were a bit overpriced for what you get. The outside patio area looked super nice as well and would love to go back for drinks and appetizers as it gets nicer out. If you're looking for a special occasion Mexican meal, Taha is the perfect place!

The best Central Mexican fare in Kansas City can be found at Taha, located in the Country Club Plaza area. We had a fantastic meal at this upscale Mexican restaurant! We started our meal with complimentary chips and salsas (3 salsas with different spice levels) and a couple of beverages from the bar. I really enjoyed the house margarita with Tajin on the rim! For appetizers, we tried the mushroom and corn empanada, along with the shrimp ceviche. We have been craving the ceviche since we left...it was absolutely delicious! For our entrees, we ordered the beautifully plated 16oz ribeye carne asada and the sizzling trio fajitas (shrimp, beef, chicken) served with rice and beans. We ended our meal with the tasty Tres Leche dessert. I was blown away with how fresh and delicious everything was. If you are looking for spectacular Central Mexican food in Kansas City, make sure to check out Taha!

Wow! I don't know what I was anticipating, perhaps Tex-Mex "Bland-ness" but man was I wrong. Each dish satisfied my taste buds! I knew this restaurant was a fine dining experience for Mexican food (as we know Mexican Food is typically casual) so I was anticipating having to order chips and salsa for the table and it being an extra price which I think should be illegal at a Mexican restaurant! ) I was pleasantly surprised that they provide complimentary chips with three different kinds of salsa and Wow! The flavors were present, a different kind of salsa for everyone for those who like it with no spice, to medium to hot! We ordered guacamole to share, it was nice it could've had a little more lime and cilantro...I know cilantro is controversial because not every taste bud receives it well. It comes with one round fried tortilla. Radishes as garnish and cherry tomatoes. I ordered the Swordfish a la Veracruzana; Wild caught swordfish, tomato ragú, olives, crispy capers, served with white rice. Presentation wasn't the cutest because the sauce was just all spread on top of the fish but WOW! What a great dish! Fantastic flavors with the tomato regular, capers and olives combined to make a pleasant experience on the pallet. My friend ordered the salmon and was very pleased how it was cooked and the freshness of the fish. The vegetables weren't anything to rant and rave about. Our server was very nice. We arrived at 5 and by the time we left at 6:30 there was a HUGE crowd of people. Even a saxophone player. I will be back to try more on the menu and especially their brunch!

3.5 stars. Beautiful atmosphere and great music. We went at about 1:00 and it wasn't very busy, but I'm guessing they do a lot of lunch orders earlier in the day. This would also be a perfect place for happy hour. The menu has a lot of the usual Mexican fare, plus some unexpected things that we were unfamiliar with, but our server explained everything. He did forget to ask what kind of beans my friend wanted- there is a choice of three. I loved my first Torta experience- it was huge and delicious and satisfying, although I wish it had more of a sauce for dipping with it. My side of roasted carrots were undercooked but tasted great. Our drinks were not lacking alcohol!

Taha Mexican Kitchen is a fantastic spot with a great atmosphere and beautiful decorations that really enhance the experience. The vibes are lively yet cozy, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal. The food was overall excellent--flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. The empanadas were a bit pricey considering you only get one, but everything else made up for it. The corn pancakes were the highlight for me--absolutely delicious and the reason I'll be coming back! Service was also great, making the entire experience enjoyable. Can't wait to return!

What a great little Mexican food spot on the Plaza! Taha was not on my radar, but it was on my friends' list so we decided to check it out. We went during restaurant week, but I decided to order off the regular menu. At the recommendation of our server, I ordered the enchiladas verdes which were delicious! A friend of mine is a big fan of mole, so she tried that out and was very pleased. Also important at any Mexican restaurant -- the chips! And Taha has good ones. Thick and crispy with just the right amount of salt. We each ordered a cocktail and were all pleased. My margarita was super tasty. My only complaint was that our server was a bit inattentive. After our first round of drinks and ordering our food, we had to wave him down for any additional drinks. All in all a good experience!

Taha has been on my list to try for a while now and I finally made it down to check out their Restaurant Week menu. Love the decor, staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and loved getting free parking in the parking garage. The four course menu for restaurant week had a beet and goat cheese salad, black bean empanada, choice of short rib taco or lamb dish, and a strawberry ice cream situation. Everything was so yummy. I will say my short rib was incredibly fatty. Half of my portion was inedible because of all the fat. My friend who also got the short rib had double the meat I had. So bummed I didn't get to enjoy as much. Also the entree came with a glass of red wine but we didn't receive it until the dessert portion. Just a couple of tweaks that would have made my experience a knock out to the park.

Definitely going to be my new go to when I'm in KC! My aunt was raving about Taha's food so we came here for dinner & of course - she's always right. The drinks and food were top notch and our server was welcoming and took great care of us! :) I must add - the restaurant is absolutely beautiful.
